Conversational
copywriting to help you feel supported, seen, and sought-after for your ideas
Oh, and seriously excited to show up (because if you’re not enjoying yourself, what’s the point?)
the world needs your art
but writing about it shouldn’t feel like a chore …
Learning how to share your work with others—be it in newsletter, a coffee shop, or a sales page—is your greatest asset as a creative business owner.
AND in *my* world, it should be fun to do.
(But in the bigger world that favours productivity over rest and perfectionism over practice, I can see why writing for your business may not exactly be your definition of fun)
because if I had to guess:
🍑 You’re a creative service provider wanting to trade your freelancing gig lifestyle in for a memorable brand presence that embodies the vision and voice you have in your head
🍓 You’re an artist that wants to sell your art for a living but doesn’t know how to communicate the value of your work to others
🍒 You’re tired of feeling like just another voice in the crowd when what you really want is to be the brand your ideal client can’t stop talking about
In every scenario, you’re left feeling depleted, discouraged, and desperate to get away from the unpredictable IG algos deciding the fate of your business’ growth (and, dare I say, your enjoyment).
and in every scenario, there is one, handy-dandy, heavy-hitter superstar just waiting for you to call it up to bat, Coach: Your Copy

WELCOME TO MY COZY NECK OF the woods INTERNET
around here we believe that writing for your business should feel like yapping about something you love
hi, I’m Taylor! I can’t say I have any cute nicknames—actually I have one but that’s a story for another time. You might also know me on and beyond the web as:
Murphy’s Mom. Shakespeare Nerd. Sales Page Enthusiast. Pasta Lover. Very Chatty Person.
Despite feeling fulfilled in my work, I spent the second half of last year burnt out and energetically depleted from feeling like I had to constantly had to hustle to get my next client. There’s nothing like the sting of feeling like you have to ‘sell’ yourself online to take away the absolute delight of making art. After many fumbles and phone calls feeling like I had to convince potential clients to choose me, here’s what I’ve learned:
Being able to find the words to talk passionately and earnestly about your (art)work can help you to:
1). advocate for the value of your time, energy, and work
2). call in the right people to your offers
3). get paid fairly as a working creative
As consumers get more and more choosey about where they put their $$, artists like you and me are trying to figure out how to not feel like *our* only choice is to compete for business. (it’s not)
And if you’re like “but how??”, I got ya.

unlocked.

The thing standing between your offers getting into the hands of those that would benefit most and you abandoning your brilliant ideas doesn’t start with pretty aesthetics. It’s first knowing what to say.
