HAVE YOU HEARD?
You deserve to have a brand you want to show up for
(And that your dream people take notice of)
Imagine showing up online knowing you don’t have to chase clients to feel well-resourced, and that getting people to pay attention means just getting to talk about what you love all day?
Because, if I may be so bold:
feeling overspent, undercompensated, and, as a result, self-doubtful ain’t it.
You’re tired of feeling beholden to the IG algorithms or like you have to compete for business, when all you really want to do is create and invite the people who you know would most benefit to take action.
But sadly, this economy is teaching us that if we build it, they don’t always come.
Enter: The Idea Haven
A space dreamt up to help creative minds feel well-resourced to advocate for the value of their ideas, creativity, and labour.
A space that aspires to help creative business people, like you and me, take Thursdays OOO to go get a pedicure or read a book in your backyard; pay your bills; save up for your dream house; grow your community online and IRL; do good work in your community; feel confident and trusting that the world needs your voice.
The four values walls of my digital storefront
-
Self-Trust
Learning how to use language to advocate for the value of your work helps to build self-trust not only in what you offer but in yourself. Self-trust is always a Work-In-Progress (even for me!) and The Idea Haven is a creative mind’s space to do the Work.
-
Playfulness
After years of forgetting what it’s like to feel playful and instead have many people tell me I’m too serious, The Idea Haven has become a play space to not take things so seriously. We can (read: need to) be prolific and playful. Everything is an experiment and being open to change allows for serendipitous outcomes.
-
Invitation
As a Projector in Human Design, this one’s personal. After learning that my design calls me to wait for an invitation from others, I also felt very called to write copy that feels and acts like an invitation to warmly welcome the right people into a brand’s community and offers. Invitation is the antithesis of coercion and the way we write copy around here.

Major Cozy Vibes
We are nothing if not inspired by the idea of being cozy. Cozy is our love language and we’ll drop everything if you say, “hey, let’s get together and watch The Parent Trap.” Before you finish the sentence, we’re there. We believe that business is challenging and vulnerable, so why not feel the most comfortable when we do the most?
Writing for your business should feel like a generative part of your marketing efforts, not just another thing on your to-do list
Hi, I’m Taylor! Firm believer that creative business owners can become the writers of their own businesses—and actually enjoy it.
My approach to marketing is different, softer, for a reason.
I’m the furthest thing from a girl-boss and *will* spend the day on the couch crocheting as I rewatch episodes of old teen dramas or rom-coms for no other reason than the fact that it brings me an absurd amount of joy.
If I could offer you one wish (besides the therapeutic experience of making loops of yarn into something to cloak you in warmth, of course), it’s the joy of seeing people connect to your offerings because of the words you wrote.

There’s a pretty good chance I’m:
Reading:
Substacks on fashion and personal style. A cozy beach read. Kate Van Horn’s The Inner Tarot. A sticky note I wrote the day before. over a client’s sales page.
Eating:
A pasta dish my husband cooked for me (his top recipes: carbonara and spicy alla vodka. He also makes a mean pesto). New York Style Cheesecake. Eggs Benny. Old fashioned plain donuts (iykyk). Dark chocolate as a night cap.
Watching:
Makeup tutorials. The Parent Trap. Murphy play outside. Dawson’s Creek.
Listening to:
The birds chirping outside my office window. ASMR videos to fall asleep. Kacey Musgraves. The Idea Haven playlist. Stevie Nicks. Murphy barking out the window (we’re still working on this).
